Bed With the Sound of Its Own Making
2004
A sound recording of removing a section of drywall is sent through tin studs attached to said removed piece. The structure-borne sound of the recording vibrates within the removed drywall section, placed on a bed of insulation. The sounds become audible when one’s head is in contact with the drywall. A 1:1 scale photograph of where the section was removed from is taped over the empty section of wall.
